The meetings were attended by people from across Northern Ireland with a heart to see community transformation, including several members of the police and prison service:

-
Joe Turner- White Well Metropolitan Tab, leads Christian Prison Ministries, www.cpmireland.co.uk
-
PC Mark Anderson, from Cookstown, who attended the Nuts & Bolts conf in April 08, has developed the “Active Listening” scheme.
-
Marty Reid (Chair of Christian Police Association, Belfast).
One of the initiatives that Transformations Ireland organises is a bimonthly prayer meeting in the parliament buildings at Stormont. They have also been responsible for organising and mobilising the church across Northern Ireland to take part in the Global Day of Prayer (GDOP). Earlier this year they were given permission to hold a special service of thanksgiving in the Great Hall in Stormont as part of the GDOP, and took time during the event to pray into issues affecting Northern Ireland, including suicide, domestic violence, and care for the elderly. The service at Stormont included giving thanks for the political breakthrough and as we spoke blessings over the community, a specially commissioned candle with the word 'Hope' on it was lit.

During her visit, Debra also met with Harry Smith (Irish Prayer Association). Harry, from Rostrevor, leads the “The Christian Renewal Centre – a House of Prayer for Ireland” ( www.crc-rostrevor.org) Debra will be back in Northern Ireland to speak at one of the monthly prayer days organized by the Renewal Centre and she will also be with Transformations Ireland in Belfast on the weekend of April 3rd – 4th, 2009. You can read more about Debra’s visit to Belfast on the Transformations Ireland web site ( www.transformations-ireland.org) where a full report of the conference can be found.

| | elaine & Nigel Waterfield (Guest) | 30/12/2008, 19:59 | | I would like to say what an honour it was to viist the Metropolitan Tabrencle church last July in Belfast run by Pastor McConnoll. Being linked to Transformed Brixton ( ex offenders who empower and support ex ofenders) I asked who was dealing with prison work there and we met Joe turner from Christian Prison ministries Ireland based at this church. I must say it was exciting following Joe an ex lvf member now christian through belfast to meet up for a chat. During our stay there we alo met Paul winter also an ex terrorist now christian and other members of CPM ireland. These guys are very God fearing and men and have a great vision to bring the word of God to prisons and the Gospel, also to schools and they have already set up drop in centres to help ex offenders to read and write, help find work and homes and councel them. Joe a man of his word came all the way to Dupont Close leicester to help us with our carol service in our carport where we have our street parties for redeeming our communities along with Phil from CPM ireland and Alex, Mark and Jason from CPM scotland and they prayed with opur friend Tammy a single parents laid low with a doslocated knee and they cleaned her house and bought her food and with such love of God it brought her back to the Lord and later on Joe gave testimony of life transformation in Christ to the residents and Alex was sanata..this then saw ex soldier Martin to the lord and it was awesome. So please pray for Joe and CPM ireland and scotland that God will priopser them with funding to carry on their work that God would also use them mightily in prisons ansd schools and get the go ahead from the residents asscoaition from shore road for a drop in centre. Happy New Year to all elaine & nigel
