Mike Royal
 Mike is the National Director of The Lighthouse Group, a charity that works with young people who have been excluded from school or are in crisis in their education.
Mike has considerable experience pastoring young people in a church context. He was National Youth Director of a Pentecostal denomination and has spoken to young people all over Europe.
Mike academic background is in Urban Studies and Black Theology. Mike has been actively involved in engaging senior politicians, central and local government on policy formulation on issues of exclusion and gangs. Mike also works in Birmingham with young people who are involved in gang culture. He is part of a church plant based in South Birmingham.
He is a passionate communicator. Married to Viviene, he enjoys walking, cycling and listening to soul music.
