Feedback from the Manchester Networking Event
"Thanks for the work of the event. I write as Church Minister & Chair of Churches Together in Wythenshawe.
Some feedback I have is that it was a lively & really well presented event which was well supported by a range of churches and people which is great, we'd like to keep supporting it as part of healing within our communities by God."
Revd. Kate Gray
"I thought it was a really good event, amazing achievement to get so many Police Officers there, as well as such a wide variety of church people. I found the networking bit really useful. The stuff the Chief of Police brought was excellent, and some of the testimonies really inspiring. But altogether it was excellent, the bands were good, the atmosphere was great, everything was well organised, so well done and thanks so much for all your hard work in putting it together."
- Chris Lane, Langworthy Community Church
"It was fantastic. It felt like Revival has come. we need a follow up as soon as possible..."
- Pastor Joseph Belibi, Rock City Discipleship Church
"It was well organised and useful. Generally I thought it was an excellent event, so congratulations."
- Rev. Anne-Louise Critchlow from St. Andrews and Christ Church Eccles
"Thought the redeeming our communities event was excellent even though I couldn't get into main event but into the overflow room - maybe you'll need a bigger venue next time - thanks"
- Harry Pritchard
"It was good opportunity to meet with local police and we need help to set up a Redeeming our Communities link in Bolton to make contact with the wider church."
- Brian Branche
"What a wonderful event! I work closely with the police and know that theirs is often a misunderstood and thankless job, so was particularly pleased at the affirmation and outpouring of gratitude they received. It all must have taken a great deal of effort to organise such an event, but it was very clear that a divine hand was involved too.
It was great to see so many Christian's committed to the communities they serve and the city we love. It would be good to see this expand to incorporate other faiths and those who, while they may not affiliate to a particular faith, show by the lives they live a compassion for the world that is rooted in the higher values that Christian's understand as Kingdom values.
Thank God for all His children working throughout this city to show us our connection as children of the same heavenly father."
- Rev. David Gray,CREOGINITY.
"All the people who attended from the Height Methodist Church in Salford thoroughly enjoyed the event and would love to be kept informed (and invited
to!) any future events.
The prayer and praise session was great and we appreciated the wonderful buffet enormously! Thank you."
- Diane Greaves
"I really enjoyed the event and met quite a few people who I think we will be able to work well with in the future."
- Sue Mayo, Christians in Schools Trust
"It was a great event, as I mentioned on Radio Manchester the next day, but I was very saddened that no opportunity was given to invite people to march of a Million Mother's. Also, I'd like to see a similar event for all the faiths. Perhaps that's down to my lot. Well done, everyone!"
- Rev. David Gray.
"Just thought I would drop you a line to say thank you for the event on Wednesday. It was the first time I had been to an event like that.
I thought the whole night was well organised and well thought through."
- Julian Wolstencroft
"It was great to walk into Wythenshawe Forum and see so many police and PCSO present. What a great idea for the church to publicly thank and honour the amazing work carried out by Greater Manchester Police Force. Hopefully as the faith communities and police networked together, heard ideas and initiatives, and heard how the church was praying for and applauding all that they do crime will be reduced further and the lives of people in Manchester made even better!
To hear the Chief Constable share so openly, the stories of hope from The Message, Street Pastors and CAP amongst others, and the reality of changed lives made a truly amazing night! Well done to Debra for hosting so well and the City Links team for an amazingly well organised evening. Thanks"
- Paul Blakey
"Just to say how fantastic I thought both the Liverpool and Manchester Redeeming our Communities events were! You are a remarkable woman of God . If you ever think of doing such an event in Cheshire, please contact me!"
