Leaders' Forum: North West, with Steve Chalke
Around 180 leaders from across the North West gathered on Friday February 11th for the launch of the North West Leaders’ forum, hosted by City Links.

The day began with an opportunity to meet other leaders over coffee. Elmwood Church in Salford is a lovely facility and we had a fantastic team of helpers, serving us with refreshments and lunch!
Some comments on the event ...
I thought the day was fantastic. God bless
Great! Thought-provoking .. and good to catch up with people, too.
Really good to focus on the world outside the church. Thanks.
Can't wait for the next one!

The programme started with a 6 minute film showing the highlights of the Redeeming Our Communities launch at the Reebok Stadium in September. Following the DVD, Frank Green from Ivy Cottage church in Didsbury, interviewed Fiona Bruce, who is standing as a candidate in the next election.
Steve Chalke, our guest speaker from Oasis Trust, spoke powerfully about his understanding about what constitutes community transformation and how we can redeem our communities. Malcolm Duncan, who has recently taken up appointment as Faithworks director, spoke about the Faithworks charter, which has growing support from around the country.

We heard briefly from Jon Witt about Alpha Manchester, from Andy Hawthorne and Alan Saunders about The Big Deal in Salford , from Paul Keeble about Peaceweek and from Jonathan Birch about Merseyfest. It was great to hear snippets about what is happening in terms of community transformation around the region.

Our thanks to Elmwood church for hosting us. Especially to Phil Tunnicliffe for providing PA, Pat Howarth and to David Graham, the new senior pastor. Also to the team of ladies who did the catering and to others who helped with stewarding, administration and car park duty. Thanks too to Alph for the photography.
The next North West Leaders’ Forum will be confirmed soon.
Guest speaker: Jeff Lucas
