City Links is 6

City Links, founded in 2003, exists to foster, forge and further unity between churches and organisations from towns and cities across the UK and overseas. We promote partnerships for spiritual and social transformation across the UK.

One of key strengths and strategies is to gather people. We are connectors and have a huge number of contacts. Our gatherings have attracted up to 8,000 people. Recent city-wide large scale events have taken place in Liverpool and Manchester for Redeeming Our Communities, which is an initiative of City Links. Redeeming Our Communities links the church with the police with a goal of crime reduction and we have seen amazing results since the regional launch in 2004. The national launch in 2006 attracted 7,000 people.

Talks are currently taking place with other Cities and counties including; Leicester, Bristol, Bedfordshire, Sussex, Hertfordshire, Merseyside, Manchester, London and Birmingham. This is part of our 10 Cities strategy which is being delivered over the next 3 years. We hope that we can make a significant contribution to transformation in key centres in the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games.
