In the summer of 2009 hundreds of churches gathered with Police officers and PCSO's to consider ways of joint working for the good of the local community.
Redeeming Our Communities have pledged our long term support in fostering collaboration between church, police, community groups and statutory agencies in order to support and kick start over 200 community projects across Greater Manchester. Last autumn we hosted 4 ROC Conversation events in Rochdale, Stockport, Oldham and Leigh, which have proved to be very productive. The last of these 4 events in Leigh was attended by 52 police officers pledging their support to local churches to work together for the local good. New projects and the work being done in your local area will be Showcased at the
ROC summer event on June 30th at The Velodrome. Please contact us if you have community projects you would like us to feature.
In the meantime, ROC Conversations continue in 9 more locations. Please join us at a venue near you! All events start at 7.30pm and there is no addmission charge. For further information please contact:

The evenings give plenty of opportunity for discussion based on themes such as 'What are the local needs?', 'What is happening already?' and 'What could be done through working together?' We have developed a menu of ideas to give inspiration of what projects could be possible, though we recognise that each area has unique needs and therefore needs a unique response.
Please join us, together we can make a difference!
