ROC Conversations launched in Maghull
The first ROC Conversations event launched in Maghull at the Town Hall on Wednesday February 10th at 7.30pm. Bev Wells, who sits on the Redeeming Our Communities Merseyside Steering Group, and works for the CVS in Maghull had the idea to host a meeting which will bring together various agencies working together for the good of Maghull.

Churches from across Maghull were invited to meet with local Police officers, the local authority, and community groups. Inspector Kevin Booth was keen to meet with people from Maghull to discuss the local needs.
Bev was originally inspired by the event at The Echo Arena last June when 4,500 people came out for the launch of Redeeming Our Communities Merseyside. A challenge was set to encourage local churches to meet with the police, local authorities and other community agencies to discuss ways of addressing community issues.
The ROC evenings give plenty of opportunity for discussion based on themes such as 'What are the local needs?', 'What is happening already?' and 'What could be done through working together?' We have developed a menu of ideas (available in the Resource section) to give inspiration of what projects could be considered.
