Leaders' Forum with Steve Chalke, October 6th 2010

The Big Response to the Big Society
Steve Chalke, founder of Oasis, FaithWorks, and Stop the Traffik, joined us at Sale Salvation Army to discuss the Church's response to the 'Big Society'. With around 140 leaders in attendance, the day was full of networking, conversation, and prayer. With our society facing many challenges in the coming months of government spending cuts, Steve is calling the Church, that is all Christians in unity, to step up and see this time as an opportunity to fill the gaps in service to our communities.
We want to thank all those who were able to attend for their support and hope that this was only the beginning of creative solutions to our community issues. Redeeming Our Communities are already responding to the challenges raised by Steve and Alan Saunders, partnership development manager for ROC, presented some ways in which the churches in Manchester are beginning to respond.
The audio downloads of each talk from the day are NOW AVAILABLE in our shop!
