Redeeming Our Communities National Launch

Saturday 13th May 2006 11am-6pm, NEC Arena, Birmingham

What is Redeeming Our Communities?

Redeeming Our Communities (ROC) was launched in the North West region of England in September 2004. It will be launched as a national initiative in May 2006 at the 10,000 capacity NEC Arena near Birmingham. ROC aims to raise awareness about community initiatives which contribute towards community transformation and crime reduction in our towns and cities. We provide an opportunity to bring together Christian organisations and churches to showcase best practice. We provide prayer resources, and information which informs local groups about working together towards transformation. A special emphasis has been praying for the police and the work they do on our behalf. We have seen evidence that prayer and action together reduce crime and enhance community life. It has been our experience that bringing all the various agencies and churches together for an event like this has proved to be a catalyst for positive change.
