Inspiring strength in adversity, community partnerships, and better futures
Friday 17th February 2012
at The Triangle Leisure Centre
7.30pm – 9.15pm (doors open 7.00pm)
The purpose of the launch event is firstly to recognise and celebrate positive community initiatives across Mid Sussex by showcasing some of the excellent projects already in place. This will encourage those who are doing good work and help to recruit extra support where needed. Secondly, the event will help people consider where there might be gaps, either of provision, or in geographical areas, and inspire new projects which could work well in their community.
What can you expect to see and hear at the Launch? There will be stands from many of the local organisations already involved in supporting the community. Speakers will explain how ROC can be a catalyst for the transformation of the local community by brokering strategic partnerships.
Speakers and performers include:
• Rt Hon Nicholas Soames MP • Deputy Chief Constable Giles York • Debra Green, Executive Director ROC • Julie Hall – local singer/song writer • Sussex Supremes Baton Twirlers
If you wish to see a reduction in crime and disorder, enhanced social cohesion and a better future for your local community, then we look forward to seeing you at the ROC Launch on 17th February.
