Redeeming Our Communities National Bulletin - September 2006

Welcome to the third edition of the National Redeeming Our Communities bulletin which is now being sent to over 5,000 members.
There is so much activity going on around the UK and you have been sending us reports, some of which are included in this bulletin. Lots of good things have been going on over the summer including:
· Successful Festivals in
Bristol and
Preston .
· A gathering in
Hastings with Chief Inspector Trevor Bowles.
· Exciting talks with
Birmingham leaders about a possible festival in 2008.
· Ongoing links with the Neighbourhood Policing team.
· The BBC reports strong links between churches and police in
Lincoln.
· The Hackney Gazette front page reports on the meeting in
London with Nicky Cruz from
New York.
· New links in
Lancaster between the church and police.
These are just a few examples of how God is opening doors between the church and the local police across the UK. These partnerships have led to some exciting community action and transformation projects which have attracted the attention of the media, government, and secular authorities.
City Links, the charity which facilitates Redeeming Our Communities, is visiting a number of cities this autumn including:
Chester ,
Glasgow ,
Birmingham ,
Newcastle , York & Stuttgart, Germany.
Please keep sending us details of what is happening in your locality.
