Dignity is a visionary Christian organisation that seeks to pioneer change through evangelism and hands-on development projects.
As Christians we believe that Jesus has called us to make a difference to other people’s lives, particularly those forgotten by the developed world and trapped in an endless cycle of poverty, hardship and suffering.
Dignity’s goal is for the Church to be the agent of change. Our predominant focus is to transform extremely poor communities in rural Africa by building sustainable, long-term projects in partnership with local organisations.
Our success so far has been combining evangelistic and practical initiatives that demonstrate our holistic concern for a community, as well as an individual’s spiritual and physical needs.
These initiatives include a clinic, clean water projects and leadership training for the Church and the wider community.
Our philosophy is not to pity an individual, but to empower them, not to look down on them but to make long lasting friendships that will give us all the Dignity God intends.
