Redeeming Our Communities National Bulletin - October 2006

It is now two years since we launched Redeeming Our Communities in the North West of England and I can hardly believe how quickly it has spread across the UK and beyond! News comes in everyday about new community projects, proposed city Festivals, partnerships with the police and transformation stories.
On October 21 st we have been invited to the Trumpet Call event at the NEC in Birmingham to give an update about how the initiative is developing nationally. I hope you can join us. Tickets are available from www.worldprayer.org.uk.
We are currently in the middle of a tour around UK towns and cities where we have been invited to speak about Redeeming Our Communities, including: York, Chester, Glasgow, Hastings, Southampton, Cardiff, Birmingham and Newcastle. There is also international interest and in November I am going to Stuttgart in Germany.
Relationships between the church and the police continue to grow in many localities and we are seeking to serve the agenda of the Neighbourhood Policing Team. www.neighbourhoodpolicing.co.uk. If you want to find out more information about the many projects which were featured at the National Launch in May, such as Street Pastors, Reflex, Cops and Robbers, Offenders Anonymous, Eden and so on please visit the City Links web site: www.citylinks.org.uk and look in the “Redeeming Our Communities” section under “The National Launch 2006”. We have put live links to all the projects and you will be inspired and informed.
Finally, on October 21st we will launch our NEW Redeeming Our Communities DVD!!! The DVD contains one hour, 40 minutes of material in bite sized chunks. It features: footage of the national launch, exciting interviews with VIP’s and senior Christian leaders, the CPA police film featured at the launch set to music which many of you have requested and more. The new DVD is £3.50 and can be purchased on October 21st or is available in the City Links web site shop.
