Do you want to join Act4Africa in the fight against AIDS?

Do you want to join a campaign team which will ensure that over 1 million Africans go through an AIDS Prevention Education Programme by World AIDS Day 2008 and are given the chance of a healthy future?

‘1 Million Lives plus’ Campaign

Since the launch of Act4Africa 6 years ago, we have delivered AIDS education programmes to 600,000 Africans in schools, communities, army and prison camps. We’ve also worked with thousands of those who are already infected, working to break down the stigma of AIDS and giving peace and comfort to many who have been rejected by their communities or even their families. To enable us to achieve our goal Act4Africa needs to secure £400,000 of new fundingThat works out at a cost of £1 per African. Not much when you think of the potential life saving consequences

Your Commitment and Skills Can Help Us to Save Lives

Can you help us to achieve our goal? Would you like to work with us to ensure that many more Africans don’t die of ignorance?

In 2007 and 2008 we will be staging a series of exciting fundraising initiatives including:

  • A 3 Peaks, “No Laughing Matter” Challenge – a team of the UK’s best loved comedians will be challenging people to compete against them in the famous 3 Peaks Challenge to climb the UK’s 3 highest mountains in 24 hours
  • “No Laughing Matter” Comedy Nights at The Comedy Store in Manchester and London
  • The “1 Million Lives Biggest Pyjama Party….. Ever!” Companies will be encouraged to invite their staff to get sponsored for getting out of bed and getting to work, whilst still wearing their pyjamas!
  • The 10,000 Lives Club – An exclusive 10,000 Lives Club will be launched during the campaign asking companies to commit to raising or donating £10,000 to this appeal.

I can stand at the bottom of the cliff and try and catch those who fall, or I can go to the top of the cliff and teach them not to jump.
