The Launch: June 16th 2009

On June 16th 2009, over 4,000 people from across Merseyside and the UK joined us at the Echo Arena in Liverpool for the launch of Redeeming Our Communities Merseyside.

The event was hosted in partnership with Merseyside Police, with around 250 officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Teams attending on the night.

The event at the Echo featured a Guest Reception for Senior Police, Community,  Faith and Council leaders. The pre-programme had performances from Twelve24, thebandwithnoname and MD Productions.

The main programme was opened with a performance by a 300 strong children's choir from Croxteth and Norris Green called 'A Voice of One'. This was followed by interviews with police officers and community members and others including Louise Casey from the Neighbourhood Crime and Justice team.
