Debra Green, Director of Redeeming Our Communities

Debra Green is the National Director and Founder of Redeeming Our Communities (ROC), founded in 2004; a registered charity and Limited company. She is frequently asked to speak at events and conferences; New Wine, Spring Harvest, Focusfest (Belfast), CLAN, Alive Festival (Inverness), HTB conference. She also speaks at conference organised by statutory authorities and public services.
Debra has twenty years of experience in bringing organisations together towards the goal of social transformation, starting with her home city of Manchester. Since 2003, this work has expanded and she has acted as a consultant to many other towns and cities with significant results. Such work has attracted interest from public services and local authorities who are impressed by the proven track record and results achieved.
Debra has had two books published. The most recent published in 2008 "Redeeming Our Communities; 21st Century Miracles of Social Transformation". Her books are available to purchase from our shop.

Graham Simmons, Operations Director

Graham spent the early part of his career in finance and general management working for the Woolwich Building Society (subsequently Barclays) starting as a trainee and progressing to manage their SE London region. Following this he moved across to the Charitable sector as CEO of Martha Trust, a charity specialising in the care of people with profound and multiple disabilities. During his time there the charity developed a reputation as a leading provider of residential and respite care for this group of people including support services for their families.
Graham is looking forward to this new challenge with ROC and to helping the charity to grow and develop its vital and inspiring work with communities across the UK.

Neil Wain, who has served for thirty years as a Police officer, recently acting Assistant Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, joins our staff team on Friday March 2nd.
Neil is appointed as a National Partnership Development Manager and will be responsible for creating new partnerships for ROC. Neil is not a stranger to ROC, he has been involved, as a supporter, since the early years of our development.
He comes with a massive amount of experience and expertise which will greatly add to our growth and development.

Nathan Stirling, Administrative Assistant Intern

Nathan Stirling joined the ROC team in January 2012. Nathan is a recent graduate from the University of Liverpool; he has spent the past 3 years working alongside various Christian organisations and churches in Liverpool helping to support students.
He is passionate about seeing communities transformed and is looking forward to working for ROC.

Paul Wilson, ROC National Partnership Development Manager

Paul Wilson up until July 2011 was a Chief Inspector with British Transport Police. Paul has almost 30 yrs policing service having worked in Birmingham, Brighton and London. Paul is a member of the Church of England and is also a member of the Christian Police Association (CPA) and sits on the CPA national council.
Paul is now working as the National Partnership Development manager of ROC with particular responsibility as our London Area co-ordinator. Paul is a passionate Aston Villa supporter, is married with two grown up children, and lives in Sussex.

Louise Williams, ROC Café Development Manager and ROC Centre Radcliffe Manager

Louise is married to Andy, vicar of St Andrew's Radcliffe, and they share two daughters, Becca and Hannah. Louise is qualified in Careers Guidance and until very recently worked for Connexions in schools and Connexions Centres in the Salford area, offering young people advice on personal issues and guidance on careers, education and employment.
Recently an opportunity has arisen for Andy and Louise to work alongside ROC in opening a new ROC Café in Radcliffe, Bury. As plans move ahead for this centre, Louise working in the main ROC Office to dedicate time and energy towards the further development of the ROC Café Projects.

Jan Simmons, Executive PA to Debra Green

Jan & Graham Simmons were introduced to Debra at the beginning of 2011 and were so excited by her vision for ROC they relocated to Manchester from Kent a few months later! Jan brings experience in business administration and education to ROC and is looking forward to this new challenge with ROC. Principally supporting Debra, she will also be working closely with all members of the ROC team.
Having lived in Kent for almost all her life, Jan is also looking forward to exploring Manchester and all the beautiful places to walk in the Peak District, North Wales and Yorkshire. She is passionate about people achieving their God given potential, both personally and as members of their community.

Jennie Cloherty, Operations Manager

Jennie Cloherty joined the ROC team in September 2010. Jennie relocated to Manchester after marrying an English man, but is originally from the United States. She has worked for eight years in not-for-profit work, mainly in administration and management. Most recently, Jennie has spent 2 years living and working in Uganda, working with emergency relief as well as community development organisations.
Jennie is passionate about seeing communities transformed and excited by the partnerships being pioneered across the UK through Redeeming Our Communities.
