Following Debra Green's visit to Kirkintilloch in April, the momentum has been growing across this area of Glasgow.  The ROC Conversations event in October provided an opportunity for discussing positive actions to strengthen the community in partnership.

On October 25th there was the first ROC Conversations event in Scotland, which was attended by 80 guests made up of civic leaders and local church members. Debra was delighted to travel to Scotland with Inspector Charlotte Cadden from GMP, who has been helping to develop the ROC initiative in Manchester. During the trip they presented the vision of ROC to the Strathclyde Police Command team. It was agreed that there would be a launch for ROC in Scotland. The event will take place in 2012/13 in a venue in Glasgow. In the meantime there will be a series of presentations and discussions. Civic leaders will be fully consulted and endorsements sought to ensure we get wide ownership.
