Love Southend

 aims simply to proclaim the truth of God’s love throughout the Borough of Southend through a continuous programme of outreach including community improvement projects throughout the year. Every month there will be a number of projects designed to bring communities together and allow the church to serve Southend, no strings attached.

 

The heart of this vision is to build relationships within our local communities. Some of these projects will include practical things like neighbourhood clean-up programmes; street pastors initiative in conjunction with the local crime and disorder panel; beach missions; street outreach; prayer gatherings in all kinds of public places; re-launching of Christian Courses such as Alpha at high profile secular venues. Some of these individual projects will be large; however there will be lots of smaller ones that will be even more effective as they will last throughout the year.

 

 

 

 After a successful first year, more and more events are taking place and they could, perhaps, fall into three categories: events and activities organised by Love Southend; those that have been organised by individuals or churches, who are keen for the event/activity to come under the Love Southend banner; the many other activities and events that are already taking place and which Love Southend simply wants to support and promote.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Jesus Video Project is a national initiative to offer the story of Jesus of Nazareth to every homes in the UK. Over the last few years, 2000 UK churches have visited 3 million home and given away 650,000 copies of the JESUS video – the most watched film of all time.
