Redeeming Our Communities launched in Merseyside at a region-wide event on Tuesday June 16th 2009. The event took place at the Echo Arena in partnership with Merseyside Police. We look forward to seeing the relationships between the church and the police in Merseyside grow in the years ahead. Through the links in this section, you will be able to find out about the launch, our Merseyside links, and all the latest information about ROC Merseyside.
ENDORSEMENT:
“All over the globe more and more people are moving from the land into the cities. This puts huge pressure on our communities and it is not surprising that sometimes they erupt in violence. We need God’s help to know how to live in harmony. Peace on our streets is our prayer. I welcome this initiative Redeeming Our Communities for it mobilises people of faith to pray and work for safer cities. It’s a partnership of people and the police working together for the good of the whole community.”
-The Rt Revd James Jones Bishop of Liverpool
