Redeeming Our Communities hosted a city wide event on Wednesday June 24th 2009. The event took place at the Wythenshawe Forum Centre, in partnership with Greater Manchester Police. Amongst the special guests were Chief Constable Peter Fahy and Louise Casey from the Home Office. Since autumn 2009 we have hosted 13 ROC Conversations in each Division of GMP with the aim to build on and kick-start 250 local community projects.
A further city-wide showcase event took place on Wednesday June 30th 2010 at the Velodrome Cycling Dome in Manchester. Over 1400 people gathered to see a shawcase of new community projects which have started since the ROC Conversations.
